Ferry Flight Services
I have been involved in aircraft ferrying across the United States in a variety of aircraft. I can either ferry the aircraft alone or with the owner. If you a new aircraft owner or an experienced owner, insurance companies may require you to have a certain amount of instruction in your specific aircraft type. I can provide that instruction.
Flight Instruction
People learn to fly for a variety of reasons. Whether you want to fly because of a childhood aspiration, career choice or a challenging hobby, I will be more than happy to facilitate that goal. My hourly rates are comparable to other instructors’ rates in the area. I believe you, the customer, deserve a customized aviation course which maximizes your style of learning and flying objectives. Whether flying for recreation or an aviation career, I can facilitate that goal on a personalized level. Please review the Flight Instruction page for more detailed information.
Instrument Proficiency Checks
Instrument Proficiency Checks (IPCs) are required by the FAA if you are out of instrument currency. Yet, due to the extreme physical and mental demands on pilots during instrument flying, it is important that the instrument pilot be functionally proficient above and beyond the FAA regulations. I can provide instrument evaluations, aviation instrument training, proficiency checks or just be a second pilot for instrument flights.
Biennial Flight Reviews
FAA required biennial flight reviews (BFRs) can be completed in your aircraft or a rented aircraft. Minimum FAA requirements are 1 hour of ground and 1 hour of flight.
Oral and Practical Exam Preparations
I specialize in oral and practical exam preparations. Though your regular instructor knows your strengths and weakness better than anyone else, it can be very difficult for him/her to accurately simulate a FAA checkride. This is because you, the applicant, is very relaxed and familiar with the instructor. My goal is to simulate a FAA checkride as accurately as possible. This is possible because when the applicant flies with someone unfamiliar there is a different level of “pressure” that allows the applicant to experience a checkride-like environment without the worrying about the pass/fail outcome. Additionally, flying with a different instructor allows the applicant’s flying ability to be evaluated by an independent instructor.
